D. ALLAWAY SERVICE TODAY AT TROUT LAKE

Funeral services for Mr. Delwyn Homer Allaway, resident of Trout Lake the past 50 years, will be held Thursday, May 29th at 2 p.m. Services will be at the Baptist Church in Trout Lake with Rev. William H. Collier officiating. Interment will be in the Trout Lake Cemetery.
Mr. Allaway was born January 10th, 1884 in Kansas, the son of Belle Dora and Walter C. Allaway.
He is survived by one son; Carlton W. Allaway and a daughter, Mrs. Mildred Knutson both of Trout Lake. There are also eleven grandchildren and four great grandchildren.

Funeral services for Delwyn Homer Allaway, 80, resident of Trout Lake for 50 years, will be held at 2 p.m. today, Thursday, May 28 at Mt. Adams Baptist Church, Trout Lake.
Gardners Funeral Service is in charge of arrangements. The Rev. Wm. H. Collier will officiate. Burial will be in Trout Lake Cemetery.
Mr. Allaway was born Jan. 10, 1884 at Ione, Kansas and died Friday, May 22 at Hanby Nursing Home in Hood River, Ore.
He is survived by his son; Carlton W. Allaway and daughter, Mrs. Earl (Mildred) Knutson, both of Trout Lake; 11 grandchildren and four great grandchildren. His wife Emma died seven years ago.

The funeral for D.H. Allaway was held at the Baptist Church Thursday afternoon with Rev. Collier officiating. Mr. Allaway had made his home in Trout Lake for most of the years since moving year with his parents in 1909. In the spring of 1912, he married Emma Pearson, oldest daughter of Charles Pearson, second settler in the valley. They improved their dairy farm and with their love of plants and flowers made their home a beauty spot. Their daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Earl Knutson have a dairy farm near the school and their son Carlton has the home dairy farm.

Mr. and Mrs. Carlton Alloway and family returned late Tuesday night from their trip east when they took their daughter-in-law back to be with her husband Carl Allaway. On the way home they purchased a new car and because they were on the move, his sister could not get in touch with them so Carlton did not know of his father's death until he arrived home.

Robin Knutson brought his cousins, Jim Alloway and Orin Pearson up from Portland for his grandfather's funeral. The grandsons were casket bearers and included Tom Raymond, a grandson-in-law.
