DOLORES J. MAUPIN
Dolores J. Maupin, who first came to White Salmon in
1945, died on Ash Wednesday, Feb. 12, at Skyline Hospital in White Salmon,
at the age of 56.
She was born to Homer and Sophia (Garvick) Dickens on
Nov. 25, 1929, in Wheeling, W. Va. She came to White Salmon in 1945. She
later married and moved to Bremerton, Wash. for a few years, returning in
1965 after the death of her husband.
Mrs. Maupin worked for Rainier Bank until declining health
forced her to retire recently. She was a member of the Christian Assembly
Church of White Salmon.
She is survived by her mother, Sophia Dickens of White
Salmon; daughter Lori Maupin, also White Salmon; brother James Dickens of
Seaside, Ore.; sisters Janet Wray of Bremerton and Dorothy Van Deventer of
Underwood; and granddaughter Christa.
Funeral services were held Saturday, Feb. 15, at the
Gardner Funeral Home of White Salmon, with Pastor Dennis Conner officiating.
Interment followed in the White Salmon Cemetery. Arrangements were made by
Gardner Funeral Home.
Memorial contributions may be given to the American Cancer
Society.
