DODOTHY THEODORSON

     Dorothy Katheryn (Hughes) Theodorson died on April 29, 2002, in White Salmon. She was 93-years-old.
     Mrs. Theodorson was born in Appleton on Dec. 9, 1908, to William and Sarah Kathryn (McCafferty) Hughes. She lived in Portland and Coos Bay, Ore., and later lived in the Gorge area including Hood River, Lyle and Goldendale. She had lived in Bingen for the past 35 years.
     Mrs. Theodorson enjoyed reading and gardening. She loved her cats and was a member of the Eagles.
     Survivors include daughter Jody Ellis, Portland; two grandchildren Sarah kate Ellis and Britt Rios-Ellis; and two great-grandchildren Xochitl Rios-Ellis and Enrique Rios-Ellis. She was preceded in death by three sisters and one brother.
     A reception in her memory will be held on Thursday, May 2, 2002, in the Bridgeview Room at the Hood River Inn from 5 to 7 p.m. Interment will be private at Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Appleton.
     Gardner Funeral Home handled arrangements.
