DONALD DEAN

     Donald L. Dean, 73, died Oct. 22, 2004, at a nursing home in The Dalles.
     He was born April 29, 1931, in Ariel, the youngest of eight children, to Jetty and S. Leon Dean. Mr. Dean was a 1949 graduate of The Dalles High School. He married Delores M. Baldwin in 1951. He worked for The Dalles Irrigation District for 35 years, retiring as operations manager.
     He was an avid hunting and fishing enthusiast.
     Survivors include his wife, Delores Dean, The Dalles; two daughters, Donna Lee Hammond, Warrenton, and Carol Ann Guthrie, Sacramento, Calif.; a granddaughter, Clara Marie Hammond; a grandson, Christopher Dean Guthrie; and sisters, Bernice Johnson, Jackson, Calif., and Betty Meister, Coos Bay, Ore.
     A private family service will be observed. Memorials may be made to the Mid Columbia Senior Center, 1112 W. 9th St., The Dalles, Ore. 97058.
