DAVID LEE HOUSTON
David Lou Houston, 49, a resident of The Dalles, died
at Mid Columbia Medical Center on Dec. 9, 1994.
He was born June 18, 1945 at White Salmon, to Lucine
L. and Ethel B. Houston. He grew up in Lyle, served in the U.S. Army during
the Viet Nam War.
He returned to the Northwest and worked as a railroad
laborer. He enjoyed fast cars.
Survivors include his wife, Kathleen L. Houston, of Lyle,
whom he married Feb. 10, 1977 at White Salmon, two sons, Lou C. Houston of
The Dalles; and Danny L. and his wife, Laura Houston of Stayton; six daughters,
Candy and husband, Ron Yarnell of Arlington; Shirley and husband, Keith Olsen,
Hoquiam, Wash.; Terrie L. Wizner of White Salmon; Kathleen L. Collins of
Bingen; Tammy M. and husband, Butch Shearer of Lyons; and Tina H. Gibson
of Mansfield, Ohio; three brothers, Clyde L. Houston of Roy, Wash.; Dan Roth
of Lyle and Lonnie Roth of Parkdale; four sisters, Phyllis Hagerstrom of
Bingen; Sharon Ross of White Salmon; Kathy Roth of Lyle and Sharon Roberts
of Mobile, Ala.; foster mother, Ovadell Roth of Lyle; six granddaughters
and the eleven grandsons.
Memorial funeral services at High Prairie Cemetery in
Lyle on Saturday, Dec. 17, at noon. Spencer, Libby & Powell Funeral Home
in care of arrangements.
