DORIS KYLE

     Doris Mildred Kyle, died at her home in Murdock on Oct. 31, 1999, at the age of 80.
Mrs. Kyle was born in Sebeka, Minn., on Jan. 11, 1919, to Elmer and Ida (Percival) Bickford. She married Lloyd R. Kyle and they came to the west when dams were being built. They lived various places in the Northwest, before settling in Klickitat County in 1958. Mrs. Kyle lived in Murdock for 43 years and raised four children. She was preceded in death by her husband in 1985.
     Mrs. Kyle enjoyed crocheting, embroidering and playing the harmonica. She always said what she meant. Her family was her life and she was agiver -- always available to baby-sit.
     Mrs. Kyle is survived by her children Debra VanOrman, The Dalles, Ore., Connie Keith, Murdock, Robert L. Kyle, Brush Prairie, and Nancy Dragoo, Spokane; 10 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.
     A graveside service for Mrs. Kyle was held Nov. 2 at 1 p.m. at Lyle Balch Cemetery.
     Arrangements were handled by Gardner Funeral Home in White Salmon.

     Doris Mildred Kyle,  80, a resident of Murdock, died at her home on Oct. 31, 1999.
     She was born Doris Mildred Bickford on Jan. 11, 1919 to Elmer and Ida (Percival) Bickford. She married Lloyd R. Kyle and they came to the west when the dams were being built, living in various places in the northwest, before settling in Klickitat County in 1958.
     She lived in Murdock for 43 years and raised four children. Her husband died in 1985.
     She enjoyed crocheting, embroidering and playing the harmonica.
     Survivors include her children Debra VanOrman, The Dalles; Connie Keith, Murdock; Robert L. Kyle, Brush Prairie, Wash., and Nancy Dragoo, Spokane; 10 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
     A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, Nov. 3, at 1 p.m. at Lyle Balch Cemetery in Lyle. Gardner Funeral Home of White Salmon is in care of arrangements.
