DONNA MAE PARRISH
Donna Mae Parrish, 68, of Underwood, died March 28, 2002
at her home.
She was born Sept 30, 1933 to Roy and Dolly (Nash) Sanders.
Donna moved to Hermiston, Ore. as a child and later to High Prairie as an
adult. She worked for Underwood Fruit for many years and for the Hood River
Inn as a cook.
Donna had a great love for her children and grandchildren.
She loved to read, cook and do jigsaw puzzles. She had a great sense of humor
and loved to fish.
Donna was a Christian and shared her love and faith with
others.
Survivors include her sister, June Howatt, of Portland;
one brother, Bill Sanders, of Lincoln City, Ore.; three daughters, Sherry
Barringer of Hood River, Carla White of Battle Ground, and Gwen Smith of
Boise, Idaho; two sons, Paul Henry Parris of Lynnwood and Ben Parris of Beaver
Creek, Ore.; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
A memorial will be at held at 11:30a.m. on Saturday,
May 4 at the Underwood Community Church.
Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of the
Gorge, P.O. Box 36, Hood River, OR 97031. Gardner Funeral Home of White Salmon,
was in charge of arrangements.
