"Glenwood Notes"

     Word was received Tuesday night of the death of Merle Ward, following an operation at Emanuel hospital in Portland. Further details will appear in next week's paper. The community extends its deepest sympathy to the bereaved family.

"Glenwood Notes"

     A large number of Glenwood people attended the funeral of Merrill Ward at Appleton Friday. Mrs. Ward and 2 small daughters are staying with her parents now, Mr. and Mrs. P.H. Akerill in glenwood. The sympathy of  the entire community is extended to them.

Delbert Ward, Mrs. Grady, Mrs. Miller Pass Away During Week

DELBERT MERRILL WARD

     Delbert Merrill Ward was born July 9, 1901, at Bickleton, Washington, and passed away July 30, 1935, at Portland Oregon, at the age of 34 years and 21 days.
     He was united in marriage to Lucille Akerill of Appleton, Washington, March 1, 1925. They moved to Camp Seven (Klickitat, Washington) where he resided until the time of his death. To this union three children, Lillian, Vivian and Florence were born.
     He leaves to mourn his loss, his wife and two daughters, Vivian and Florence, his father, Stephen Ward; four sisters, Edith, Stella; Rachel and Minnie; five brothers, Steven, jr., Elvan, Rolaston, DeRowland and Raymond and a host of friend.
     He was laid to rest at Appleton, Washington, August 2, 1935, beside his little daughter who passed on the before.
     Services were conducted by Rev. C.E. Hanes of Goldendale and arrangements were in charge of M.W. Chapman, funeral director.
