SEARCH CONTINUES, NO CLUES SO FAR
GOLDENDALE, Wash. -- Not a single clue as to the whereabouts of missing Frank
Dooley, 58, has been turned up in the intensive search under way in rugged
Bowman Creek canyon just west of here on Sunday and Monday, but searchers here
don't give up easily.
Nearly 50 men, some mounted and others on foot
including a number of volunteers, were again searching today, the office of the
Klickitat County Sheriff reported.
On the first two days of intensive hunting for the
missing fisherman, reported lost Saturday when he left two companions, an
airplane was put into service and bloodhounds were brought in from Yakima.
Two specially trained police dogs, from Seattle's
Search & Rescue were used yesterday but the animals were reported unable to pick
up and follow any scent.
On the first two days most of the searchers were
sheriff's deputies and special deputies plus men with the Washington Game
Department, working in pairs. Many were mounted, many were volunteers in
today's search parties.
