DOROTHY (HUGHES) THEODORSON

     Dorothy Kathryn (Hughes) Theodorson passed away on April 29 in White Salmon, She was 93 years old.
     Dorothy was born in Appleton, Washington on December 9, 1908 to William and Sarah Kathryn (McCafferty) Hughes.
     She lived in Portland and Coos Bay, and later lived in the Gorge area including Hood River, Lyle and Goldendale. She had lived in Bingen for the past thirty-five years.
     Mrs. Theodorson enjoyed reading and gardening. She loved her cats, and was a member of the Eagles.
     Survivors include her daughter, Jody Ellis of Portland, two grandchildren Sarah Kate Ellis and Britt Rios-Ellis; and two great great grandchildren Xochitl Rios-Ellis and Enrique Rios-Ellis. She was preceded in death by three sisters and one brother.
     A reception in her memory will be held on Thursday May 2 in the Bridgeview Room at the Hood River Inn from 5 -7 PM. Burial will be private at the Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Appleton, Washington. Gardner Funeral home handled arrangements.
