DOROTHY WILLIAMS

     Dorothy Williams, a lifelong Gorge resident died in July 7, 2000, in White Salmon, at the age of 72.
     Mrs. Williams was born January 8, 1928, in The Dalles, Ore., to John and Marie (Locke) Splawn. She finished high school in White Salmon. She worked for Esteys Insurance for years and was a bookkeeper for Arens & Wurkin Accountants in Hood River.
     She was married to Leo "Jiggs" Williams for 26 years. He preceded her in death many years ago.
     She loved gardening and watching TV. She raised roses and dahlias and loved animals.
     Mrs. Williams is survived by companion of Gene Chappel, White Salmon; and cousin Betty Lorengel.
     Graveside services for Mrs. Williams will be held Thursday, July 13, 2000, at 1 p.m. at the White Salmon Cemetery.
     Arrangements were handled by Gardner Funeral Home, White Salmon.
