DELMER E. P. STAACK
Delmer Edward Perda Staack of Glenwood died May 6. He
was 73.
Born May 6, 1919 in Glenwood to Alma (Borde) and Edward
Perda Delmer Staack, Mr. Staack graduated from Columbia Union School in 1938.
He excelled in track and field and held the record for the mile until 1974.
He entered the Coast Guard in 1939 and served during World War II.
In 1954, Mr. Staack married Betty in Port Angeles. The
couple lived in Glenwood and he worked for various logging companies until
his retirement. He liked gardening and reading mystery novels.
He is survived by his wife, Betty of Glenwood; children,
Edward Perda Staack of White Salmon, Sandra Wolter of Chester, Calif., and
Rick Barney of Vacaville, Calif.; sister, Lois Jemtegaard of Washougal; and
two grandchildren.
Private family services were held at Glenwood Cemetery.
Contributions may be given to Glenwood Cemetery Association.

Delbert Edward Perda Staack, 73, of Glenwood, died May
6, 1992, in Glenwood. He was born May 6, 1919, in Glenwood to Alma (Borde)

he worked for various logging companies until his retirement. Staack liked
to garden and enjoyed reading mystery novels.
Survivors include his wife, Betty of Glenwood; four children,
Edward Perda Staack of White Salmon, Sandra Wolter of Chester, Rick Barney
of Vacaville, Calif. and Lois Jemtegaard of Washougal; a sister and 2
grandchildren.
Private family services will be held at Glenwood Cemetery
in Glenwood. Contributions may be given to Glenwood Cemetery Association.
