DERALD KUHNHAUSEN
Derald Vern Kuhnhausen died June 2, 2003, in Juneau,
Alaska at the age of 65.
Mr. Kuhnhausen was born Aug. 8, 1937, in White Salmon,
to Thelma (Murray) Kuhnausen and Vern Kuhnhausen. He was raised in Glenwood,
and graduated from Glenwood High School. He served in the United States Army
and was an active entrepreneur throughout his lifetime. He lived in Vancouver,
Newport, Spokane, Moses Lake and Marysville.
Mr. Kuhnhausen is survived by his wife, Vickie, Marysville;
sons Tony Kuhnhausen, West Jordan, Utah, Monte Kuhnhausen, Spokane, Shayne
Kuhnhausen, Iowa, and Quinndel Kuhnhausen, Snoqualmie; daughters Kim, Yelm,
Tina Ambrose, Post Falls, Idaho, Sonya McCreary Baker City, Ore., Tonya
Kuhnhausen, Deer Park; sisters Donna Gehrman and Wilda Roberts both of Longview,
Darlene Zimmerman, Longbeach, Thelma Smith, Vancouver; brothers Jerry Kuhnhausen,
Yacolt, Ted Kuhnhausen, Maupin, Ore., Terry Kuhnhausen, Orlando, Fla., and
Rick Kuhnhausen, Sisters, Ore.; and twenty seven grandchildren. He was preceded
in death by brother Konrad Kuhnhausen and daughter Cindy.
Services for Mr. Kuhnhausen were held June 7, 2003, at
1 p.m. at the Gilbertson Funeral Home in Stanwood, with Doug Higgins officiating.
Interment will be held at Mount Adams Cemetery, Glenwood, Washington, Aug.
9, 2003, at 10 a.m.
Memorials may be given to Volunteers of America Crosswalk
Project for Homeless Children, Spokane.
