ELLEN ANDERSON JOHNSON
Ellen Amandra Anderson was born to Josephine and Charles
Anderson on January 18, 1881, near Stockholm, Sweden. She came to the U.S.
with her parents and three other children in 1883 and lived at Kearney, Nebr.
on a homestead.
She was married to Aaron Johnson and they lived on a
ranch near Folsom, South Dakota for 33 years, then moved to Washington to
be near their sons. Mr. Johnson preceded her in death in August 1946.
Mrs. Johnson passed away at North Bonneville Sanitarium
on August 8, 1949. She is survived by two sons, Merle Johnson of Trout Lake,
Washington, and Carl W. Johnson of Grants Pass, Oregon, and four grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at Trout Lake church yesterday
at 2 P.M. Burial in Trout Lake Cemetery.

TROUT LAKE WOMAN PASSES AWAY
TROUT LAKE, August 10 (Special). Mrs. Aaron Johnson, mother of Mrs. Merle Johnson, passed away at the Bonneville Sanitarium, Monday night. She had been in ill health for some time. The funeral is tentatively set for Thursday at the Trout Lake church and she will be buried beside her husband in the local Cemetery.
