"Obituary"
EMILY ANN MORRIS
The funeral of the late Emily Ann Morris, of Goldendale,
aged 90 years, will be held from the Chapman Chapel on Friday afternoon,
Dec. 21, 1928, at 2 p.m.
She is survived by one grandson, Mr. Wilson of Spring
Creek. She is a pioneer resident of this section and had many friends and
acquaintances.

OBITUARY
Emily A. Morris was born in Mercer County, Mo., July
5, 1839 and died in Goldendale, December 18, 1928, being 89 years, 5 months
and 13 days of age. She was married to Absolum Morris May 17th, 1863. To
this union were born four children, three dying in childhood and Mary Marks
passed away five years ago. Her husband Absolum Morris died May 30, 1910.
She and her family moved from Missouri 55 years ago,
taking a homestead in Spring Creek. She lived there 12 years. She joined
the Baptist Church in 1903 and believed in the faith until death.
She leaves to mourn her loss one grand child, Harland
Wilson, his wife and four great grand children, Rubye Van Voltenburg, Cecil,
Lavelle and Marjorie Wilson, besides a host of friends.
The services were conducted by the Rev. S.C. Eshelman
at Chapman's Chapel last Friday and the interment was made in the family
spot in the Spring Creek Cemetery.
