"Local Gleanings"
Word was received this week of the very serious illness of Mrs. Jas. Vanhoy, at Yuma, Ariz., followed by a telegram of her death. Mr. Vanhoy left yesterday for Yuma, and will bring the body of his wife back with him for burial here. Funeral notice and obituary later.

"Local Gleanings"
The telegram of the death of Mrs. Jas. Vanhoy arrived in this week, death occurring Sunday. The item offered in the last issue was occasioned by the mis-reading of the telegram, which stated she was dying. Mr. Vanhoy arrived at her bedside before her death. The body will be brought here and funeral will occur the later part of this week.

"Locals and Personals"
The funeral of Mrs. James Vanhoy was held last Saturday from the residence in the Spring Creek, George Darland conducting the services. There were a large number of friends and relatives present to attend the last sad rites. The deceased was 43 years of age, had lived in Klickitat many years, and leaves beside a sorrowing husband, mother, brother and sister, five children. Interment followed in Spring Creek Cemetery.

"Around Town"
The funeral of the late Mrs. James Vanhoy, who died at Yuma, Arizona, was held from the family residence, at Blockhouse, last Monday, the interment taking place at the Spring Creek cemetery. The deceased was a daughter of Mrs. John S. Eddings, of this city, and was highly respected and esteemed by all who knew her.
