MRS. E. BARNES PASSES AWAY
Mrs. Evangeline Barnes of Bingen, passed away at the
Hood River hospital on Saturday, July 25, at the age of 35 years. She had
been operated upon for appendicitis and other ailments the Monday before
she died. She was born in the Smith Center, Kansas, and came west with her
parents when a child. She later returned to Kansas where she was married,
and then again moved west. She had lived in Bingen for the past three years
where she made a host of friends. Five children -- four daughters and once
son, survive her.
The funeral was held in the local M.E. Church Monday
with interment in the I.O.O.F cemetery.
