MRS. E. WELDON DIES SUDDENLY
The passing suddenly of Mrs. E. Weldon of White Salmon
was a shock to her many friends and relatives.
While staying with Mrs. Caroline Underwood, at the Jarvis
home in White Salmon, during the absence of Mrs. Jarvis in Portland, Mrs.
Weldon suddenly passed away. She appeared allright the day previous to her
death.
Mrs. Weldon came here in 1895 and homesteaded property
in White Salmon. In May, 1911 she was married to Elwin Weldon, who previously
passed on in July 27, 1933.
She was born, Ella Waters, in Guther county, Iowa, February
10, 1871 and on her passing, March 22, 1937, she was 66 years, 1 month and
12 days of age.
She leaves to mourn her loss, one brother; David Walters
of Kent, Oregon; three sisters; Susanna L. Walters of Kent, Oregon; Amanda
Vaux, of Kent, Oregon; Amanda Vaux, of Panora, Iowa and Mary Vaux of Des
Moines, Iowa, besides a brother-in-law, Clarence Weldon of Stevenson; Christine
Robinson a niece of Amboy; Estel Christensen, nephew of Husum and Milo Carrick,
nephew of Wall Hollow, North Dakota.
Funeral services were held at the Gardner home in White
Salmon, Wednesday afternoon, under supervision of Rev. Wilbur Stark, with
interment in the I.O.O.F. Cemetery.

MRS. ELLA WELDON DIES OF HEART TROUBLE MONDAY
Mrs. Ella Weldon, of White Salmon, passed away suddenly
at the home of Mrs. Dan Underwood in this city early Monday morning from
a heart attack. Mrs. Weldon was staying with Mrs. Underwood during the absence
of Mrs. Jarvis and was stricken at about four a.m. she is survived by a sister,
Mrs. Susan Walter, and also a brother, both of Kent, Oregon.
The funeral was held at the Methodist church Wednesday
at 2 p.m., Rev. Stark, officiating. The Mt. View Grange, of which Mrs. Weldon
was a member, held services at the grave in the Odd Fellows cemetery.
