EDNA C. DEBERE
Edna C. DeBere of Vancouver, formerly of Bingen, died
Saturday, July 9, 1994; she was 82.
Mrs. DeBere was born December 23,1911 in Polk County,
Neb., to Alma (Sonnichsen) and August Carl Pfeiffer. On September 2, 1930
she married her husband of 60 years, Benjamin F. DeBere in Glenwood, Iowa.
The couple moved to Bingen in 1935 where they owned and
operated the City Center Motel until their retirement in 1970. They moved
to Vancouver in 1987.
She was preceded in death by Benjamin who died in 1990.
She is survived by her son Richard DeBere of Sun City.
Ariz.; sister Margaret Holt of Centralia; and brother Carl Pfeiffer of Arcata,
Calif. She had 4 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
Funeral services for Mrs. DeBere will be held today.
July 14, at the White Salmon Cemetery; Orville Knutson will officiate the
service.
The family suggests contributions in her name be given
to the Alzheimer's Association c/o Gardner Funeral Home.
The Gardner Funeral Home was in charge of all the
arrangements.
