SERVICES WEDNESDAY FOR EVERETT RAINEY
Funeral services were scheduled for Wednesday, May 29,
for Everett C. Rainey, 75, at Knosher Funeral Home.
Mr. Rainey, father of Wilbur C. Rainey of Goldendale,
was born at Cole Camp, Mo., in 1893. He was a resident of Simcoe Manor Nursing
Home before his death.
Rev. M.B. Ketcham of First Baptist Church officiated
at the 2 p.m. service. Interment was at Lone Pine Cemetery on High Prairie.

EVERETT C. RAINEY
Everett C. Rainey was born February 28, 1893 at Cole
Camp, Mo. and died in Goldendale, Wa. on May 25, 1968 at the age of 75 years,
2 months and 27 days. He moved with his parents, from Missouri while still
a small child to Portland, Or. where he lived only a few years. He worked
for the SP&S Railroad from 1917 until his retirement as an engineer about
five years ago.
He was united in marriage to Frances Arvilla McCoy on
December 13, 1913 In The Dalles, Or. To this union one son, Wilbur, was born.
Mrs. Rainey preceded her husband in death in 1936.
He lived most of his life in Spokane and Wishram, Wa.
and the last few months he lived in Goldendale. He was a member of six lodges:
the Brotherhood of Locomotive Engineers and Firemen, the Brotherhood of
Locomotive Engineers, the Elks, the Eagles, the Masons and the
Shriners.
He leaves to mourn his passing his son, Wilbur Rainey
of Goldendale, two grandchildren, one great grandson, one brother, Earl Rainey
of Portland, three nieces and a host of friends.
Funeral services were held at the Kno-sher Funeral Home
in Goldendale on May 29, 1968 with the Rev. M. B. Ketcham officiating. Interment
was in the Lone Pine Cemetery at High Prairie.
Pallbearers were D.W. Bridgefarmer Sr., Eldon Bridgefarmer,
Ernest R. McCoy, Fred Wright, Ted Williams and Lyle Close.
