TWIDWELL RITES AT 2 P.M. FRIDAY
Funeral services for Ellsworth C. Twidwell, 91, who expired
at Skyline hospital Tuesday, July 7, will be held at 2 p.m., Friday, July
11, at Gardner's Funeral chapel in White Salmon.
Interment will follow at the IOOF cemetery. Mr. Twidwell's
obituary will be available next week.

TWIDWELL RITES HELD ON FRIDAY
Funeral services for a Ellsworth Twidwell, who expired
at Skyline hospital Tuesday, July 7, were held at 2 p.m., July 10 at Gardners
Funeral chapel in White Salmon. The Reverend Donald A. Ross of the Hood River
Christian church officiated. Interment was in the White Salmon IOOF cemetery.
Mr. Twidwell was born at Hamlin, Kansas, March 14, 1862.
At the age of two years he crossed the plains with his parents who arrived
at Union, Oregon in the fall of 1864. That next spring, the family moved
to Tumwater, Washington, and in the fall of that year took up a homestead
near Elma where Ellsworth grew to manhood.
In 1886 he was married to Louella Musgrove who pre-deceased
him on January 10, 1945. To this union were born in five children: Ada Boss
and Ethel Harris, of Portland, Ore.; Leona Jensen of Eugene, Ore.; Carl L.
Twidwell of Amboy and Boyd L. Twidwell of Vancouver.
Other survivors are his sister, Mrs. Martha Beckwith
of Elma; 13 grandchildren and 16 great-grand children. Mr. Twidwell has lived
in White Salmon since 1909.

ELLSWORTH C. TWIDWELL
Ellsworth Twidwell was born at Hamlin, Kansas, March
14, 1862. At the age of Two years he crossed the Plains with his father and
mother, arriving at Union, Oregon in the fall of 1864. The following spring,
the family moved to Tumwater, Washington and in the fall of that year they
moved to a homestead near Elma, Washington where Ellsworth grew to manhood.
In the year 1886 he was united in marriage to Louella Musgrove, who preceded
him in death, having passed away January 10, 1945.
To this union five children were born: Ada Bess and Ethel
Harris of Portland, Ore., Leona Jensen of Eugene, Ore., Carl L. Twidwell
of Amboy, Washington, and Boyd L. Twidwell of Vancouver, Washington.
In 1909 Ellsworth and his family moved to White Salmon,
Washington, where he resided until his death on July 7th, 1953.
Surviving him also, is a sister: Mrs. Martha Beckwith
of Elma, Washington, 13 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren and a host
of friends.
Funeral services were held June 10th at the Gardner's
Funeral Home in White Salmon, with the Rev. Donald A. Ross of the Hood River
Christian Church officiating. Interment was in the White Salmon Oddfellow
Cemetery.
