PEARSON SERVICES IN TROUT LAKE
Ethel Dorcas Waltz Pearson passed away at Skyline Hospital
in White Salmon on January 16th at the age of 68 years. She was born to Arthur
and Dasie Waltz in Colfax, Washington on March 6, 1906.
On August 16, 1933 Ethel was married to George Pearson
in Trout Lake, Washington.
During her lifetime she had been a teacher in Oregon
and in the Glenwood and Trout Lake Schools. She moved to Trout Lake permanently
in 1933. She was an accomplished musician and taught piano to many children
in the area.
She was a member of the Mt. Adams Baptist Church of Trout
Lake and was deeply concerned about missionary work through-out her lifetime.
For this reason gifts are being given to her favorite missionary project,
the Baptist Haiti Mission in care of the Trout Lake Baptist Church.
Surviving her are: her husband, George Pearson of Trout
Lake; two daughters, Carolyn Turner of Carson, Washington and Rosalyn Rapp
of Oregon City, Oregon; three sons, Orin Pearson of Albion, Washington, Monte
W. and Rudy Pearson of Trout Lake; nine grandchildren; a sister Mildred Gilmouthe
of Nicholson, Pennsylvania; and a brother, Homer Waltz of Forest Grove, Oregon.
Funeral services were held at the Mt. Adams Baptist Church
of Trout Lake, Washington at 11:00 a.m., on Tuesday, January 21st. Interment
was in the Trout Lake Cemetery, Trout Lake, Washington. Rev. Ronald Holcomb
of the Mt. Adams Baptist Church officiated. Assisting him at the services
was Rev. William Collier.
