ELINA E. CROCKER
Elina E. Crocker was born Feb. 10, 1896, the daughter
of Jacob and Kreta Lawery in the Centerville area. She died Dec. 22, 1975
in Klickitat Valley Hospital.
Her parents were early Finnish pioneer settlers in the
Centerville area. She was a charter member of Christ the King Lutheran Church
in Goldendale, a member of Leah Rebekah Lodge No. 22, the Neighbors of Woodcraft
and the Centerville Grange. She was active in a number of civic organizations
including the Klickitat County Homemakers, Lutheran Church Women and other
charitable organizations.
She is survived by her husband, Wilbert of Goldendale;
one son, Stanley of Centerville; a daughter, Ann Miller, Washougal; two brothers,
William Lawery, Santa Cruz, Calif., and Emil Lawery of Centerville; a sister,
Jennie Ahola, Goldendale; five grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Dec. 24 at Knosher Funeral
Home with Pastor Robert R. Robb officiating. Pall bearers Matt, Joe and John
Crocker, Rex Miller, Robert Niemela and Gordon VanDeVanter.
