EDDIE E. GABBERT
Eddie E. Gabbert of Goldendale died Monday in Portland,
Ore. He was 48.
Gabbert was born Sept. 24, 1932 at Toppenish. He moved
with his parents to Wishram at an early age and later became a conductor
for the Spokane, Portland and Seattle Railway, now Burlington-Northern. He
was married to Patricia Darcey Nov. 14, 1950.
He was a member of the Mount Adams Elks Lodge in White
Salmon and the Goldendale Golf Club.
Gabbert is survived by his wife; a son, Donald and two
daughters, Darcey and Kathleen, all of Wishram; his mother, Pauline Gabbert
of Vancouver; a brother, Raymond of Spanaway; two sisters, Florine Smeely
of Seattle and Adelia Orthman of Vancouver; and six-grandchildren.
Mass of Christian burial was held Wednesday at the Holy
Trinity Catholic Church with Father Seamus Kerr as celebrant. Interment was
in Holy Trinity Cemetery.
