SHULL

     Eula Evangeline Shull was born on Oct. 12, 1897, in Wakefield, Kan., to Frank and Lorinda Jackson Draper, and passed away on Sept. 20, 1985 at the age of 87 in Goldendale after a long illness.
     Shull's mother passed away when she was 18 months old and she was raised by foster parents, Josh and Nellie Parrack.
     She was married to John N. Shull in Wakefield on Jan. 23, 1918. They farmed in Kansas and Colorado before coming to Goldendale in 1940 where they operated a dairy with their son Ray. Later, they purchased the John Deere Implement Co. which they operated for several years.
     The Shulls also operated ranches in the Springcreek, Centerville, and Goldendale areas. In 1970, they retired and moved to Goldendale because of John's failing health. He passed away in 1973.
     While living in Centerville, Shull was active in the Centerville Grange, and the Thimble Club. She was also an Avon representative for several years.
     Preceding her in death were her husband, John: her daughter, Shirley Schessler; her parents, Frank and Lorinda Draper; her foster parents, Josh and Nellie Parrack; brother, Leslie Draper; and two sisters, Doris Sedwick and Jessica Hadley.
     Shull is survived by her daughter, Aletha Watts of Hermiston, Ore.; three sons, Ray of Goldendale, Darold of Spokane, and John C. of Hermiston; four sisters, Zola Hedman of Tulsa, Okla., Blanche Lillienthal of Albany, N.Y., Emma Walno of Loveland, Colo., and Elsie Sargent of Oldsberg, Kan.; 18 grandchildren, 28 great grandchildren, and one great great grandchild; and numerous nieces and nephews.
     Funeral services will be held on Monday, Sept. 30 at 11 a.m. at Knosher-Erdman Funeral Home with the Rev. Arthur J. Stott officiating. Interment will be in the Centerville Cemetery.
