INJURIES FATAL TO ERNEST MESECHER
Injuries suffered a fall from a truck at Snoqualmie summit
proved fatal yesterday to Ernest Francis Mesecher, 42, of Ellensburg, in
the North Bend hospital. An employee of the state highway department, Mesecher
sustained a broken neck in the accident, which occurred Saturday.
Mesecher was born February 24, 1906, in Goldendale, where
he lived until he moved to Ellensburg 16 years ago. He had been employed
by the highway department since coming here.
He is survived by four sisters, Mrs. Bertha Lord and
Mrs. Reba Marsh of Ellensburg, Mrs. Alice Bruner of Goldendale, and Miss
Dacey Mesecher of Yakima; three brothers, Charles, Harry and Zelbert Mesecher,
all of Goldendale, and three nieces and six nephews.
He was a member of the Eagles Lodge and the Woodman of
the World.
Funeral services will be held Saturday afternoon at 2
o'clock at the Phillips funeral parlor in Goldendale. Burial will be in Spring
Creek cemetery there.

ERNEST FRANCIS MESECHER
Ernest Francis Mesecher was born at Goldendale, February
24, 1906, the son of Francis M. and Alice J. Mesecher.
He grew to a manhood in the Spring Creek vicinity, moving
to Ellensburg about 20 years ago, where he was employed by the State Highway
Department.
On January 15, he was injured in an accident on Snoqualmie
Pass and passed away January 19 in the North Bend hospital.
Survivors are four sisters, Mrs. Reba Mrsh and Mrs. Bertha
Lord, of Ellensburg; Miss Dacey Mesecher, of Ellensburg; and Mrs. Alice Bruner,
of Goldendale; and three brothers, Charles E., Harry L., and Zelbert E.,
all of Goldendale; and several nieces and nephews.
He was a member of the Woodmen of the World and the Fraternal
Order of Eagles.
Funeral services were held in the Phillips Funeral Home
Saturday afternoon with Rev. Moody of the church of Christ officiating. Burial
was in the Spring Creek cemetery.
