MESKE
Edwin F. Meske, 78, a resident of Wishram for 44 years,
died at Goldendale, Feb. 22, 1982. He was born at Odessa, Wash. March 3,
1903 to John and Elizabeth Meske.
Meske was a retired railway breakman, having been employed
in the railroad industry since 1917. He retired in 1971.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Laura, on Jan.
31, 1980.
He is survived by three daughters, Bernice Morganroth
of Sunnyvale, Calif., Marjorie Hale and Patricia Gabbert of Wishram; two
sons, Thomas said Darcy of Downey, Calif. and James Gerlack of Vancouver,
Wash.; three sisters, Elma Dobravese, Amelia Whipps and Margaret Leonard,
all of Spokane; 23 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Feb. 25 at the Knosher Funeral
Home with Father Seamus Kerr officiating.
Honorary pallbearers were Adolph Jystad and Tim and Jim
Delaney. Active pallbearers were Andy Anderson, Jim Whited, John Ball, John
Roberts, John Schwinof and Orvie Elliott.
Interment was in Holy Trinity Catholic Cemetery.
