ERNEST F. WINTERSTEIN

     Ernest Frank Winterstein was born at Warwick, Wa. August 5, 1887 to Frank and Elizabeth Winterstein and died in his home Saturday, August 4, 1973, just one day before his 86th birthday.
     On May 31, 1908 he was married to Maud Derrey and to this union were born two daughters and four sons. From the time he was two years old, Ernest was a resident of the Spring Creek and Goldendale areas; he farmed in the Spring Creek area all his life until retiring in 1943.
     Survivors include his widow Maud, at home; three sons, William of Eugene and Arthur and Merle of Goldendale; eight grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
     Services were conducted August 7 at Knosher Funeral Home with the Rev. Nesbitt Byars officiating. Interment was in the Spring Creek Cemetery.
     Pallbearers were George Freer, Cecil Butts, Gail Jackson, David Thompson, Donald Ritzschke and Les Jobe.
