ERNEST STRUCK
Ernest H. Struck, High Prairie, died at his home Dec.
14, at the age of 85.
Mr. Struck was born Oct. 18, 1903, in Hood River, Ore.,
to Bertha (Runge) and Lugwig Struck. He moved to Appleton when he was nine.
He married Virginia McGowan on Oct. 13, 1928. He moved to High Prairie in
1946 and has lived there running a cattle ranch ever since. He loved to ride
his horse. He was a member of the Cattleman's Association and the Grange.
He donated the land for Lyle Balch Cemetery.
He is survived by his wife, Virginia, High Prairie; children,
Dorothy Shippey, Lyle, Ellen Morrell, Ashford, Ted Struck, Long Beach, Gene
Struck, Walla Walla and 15 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren.
Services were held Friday at 2 p.m. at Gardner Funeral
home, with Pastor Dave Kelly officiating. Interment was at Lyle Balch Cemetery.
