EDNA JENKS
Edna Ione Jenks, 89, Yakima, died Jan. 6, 1996, at Central
Convalescent Center.
She was born Aug. 30, 1906, in Inman, Neb., to DeWitt
and Nettie Jane (Goree) Derby. On Jan. 27, 1927, she married Harold Holland
Jenks and the family moved to Yakima in 1931.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband,
three brothers, Harold, Donald and Herbert Derby.
Mrs. Jenks is survived by her daughter and son-in-law,
Delores and Thomas Todd of Yakima; two granddaughters and their families,
Susan and Kris Hillis of Yakima,; Nancy and Dave Henderson of San Antonio,
Texas; four great grandchildren, Denise and Karen Hillis and Scott and Erin
Henderson.
Memorial services were held Jan. 10, 1996, at 2 p.m.
at the First Presbyterian Church. Interment will be at Trout Lake Cemetery
sometime this summer.
Arrangements were handled by Shaw and Sons Funeral Directors.

YAKIMA -- Edna Ione Jenks, 89, of Yakima, WA passed away
on Saturday, January 6, 1996 at Central Convalescent Center.
She was born August 30, 1906 in Inman, Nebraska to De
Witt and Nettie Jane (Goree) Derby.
On June 2, 1927 she and Harrold Holland Jenks were married
and the family moved to Yakima, WA in 1931.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband,
and three brothers, Harold, Donald and Herbert Derby.
Ione is survived by her daughters and son-in-law, Dolores
and Thomas Todd of Yakima; two granddaughters and their families, Susan and
Kris Hillis of Yakima, Nancy and Dave Henderson of San Antonio, Texas; four
great-grandchildren, Denise and Karen Hillis and Scott and Erin Henderson.
Memorial services will be held on Wednesday, January
10, 1996 at 2:00 P.M. at the First Presbyterian Church.
