EARL WOOLERY

75-year-old Earl Jacob Woolery died at his home in Goldendale on June 8, 2006. He was born on August 9, 1930 to Frances Susanne (Mills) and Earl Pearson Woolery in Kansas City, Mo. His father worked at the Kansas City Zoo, and Mr. Woolery was literally born in the zoo, in a cabin on the premises.

He and his wife, Rose Ann (Troh) Woolery, moved from California to Glenwood in the 1970s. Mr. Woolery worked as a log truck driver for 16 years before moving to Hermiston, Ore., where he worked as a manager for a freight company. They retired to Goldendale 11 years ago. Mr. Woolery worked as a volunteer for the Goldendale Senior Center and started many projects there.
