     Lyle Woman Dies -- Funeral services for Mrs. Emily Korthose of Lyle, Wash., who died last night at a local hospital, following a brief illness, will be held Monday at 2 p.m. at Lyle, under the direction of Crandall-Bird chapel. Interment will be in the Lyle cemetery. Mrs. Korthose is survived by three sons, Clarence, James and Charles, all of Lyle. She was born in Cook county, Ill., July 14, 1870, and had been a resident of Lyle since 1907.

     Mrs. F. Korthase who was taken to The Dalles hospital the first of the week seriously ill, was operated on Friday morning and passed away that night. She leaves to mourn her loss, three son, Clarence, Joe and James Korthase of Lyle. Funeral services were held Monday afternoon in the gym. She was laid to rest in the Lyle cemetery. Mrs. Korthase was nearly 68 years of age. She will be greatly missed and the sympathy of the entire community goes out to the family.
