PIONEER WOMAN PASSES AWAY
It was not Mrs. J.S. Campbell, as stated in this article last week but a Mrs. Campbell aged 77 years passed away at her home at Blockhouse on October 20, 1907. The funeral was conducted by Rev. Ed Adams, from the house, Oct. 22nd, and the remains were laid to rest in the Spring Creek cemetery. She leaves to mourn her loss an aged husband, five sons, one daughter and several grandchildren. Two sons have passed away.
How mournful life seems in broken dreams
The memory of the day.
When Death hath sealed the breath
Of some dear form of clay.
When pale, unmoved the face we loved,
The face we thought so fair,
And the hand lies cold, whose fervent hold
Once charmed away despair.
Oh! there at last lies trials past,
We'll meet our loved one once more.
Whose feet have trod the path of God.
Not lost, but gone before.
