ELLEN FOSTER DIES OF CANCER
Funeral services for Ellen Foster, a 54, wife of White
Salmon Supt. of Schools E Harold Foster, were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Aug.
7 at Gardner's Chapel. The Rev. Alfred Palmer officiated. Burial was in the
Odd Fellows Cemetery.
Casket bearers where Hulan Whitson, Albert Wedekind,
William Sheckles, all principals of White Salmon schools, T.F. Paulsen, Andrew
McCormick and Wallace Stevensson.
Mrs. Foster was born Dec. 6, 1907 at Pine City, Washington
and died Sunday, Aug. 5 at Skyline Hospital, White Salmon. Cause of death
was cancer.
She is survived by her husband; a daughter, Mrs. Dale
(Carol) Dechenne, Washougal; son, William H. Foster of Walla Walla; and sister,
Mrs. Mamie Griffin, College Place.
She was a member of the Mt. Olive Chapter of Eastern
Star, Parma, Idaho; the Skyline Hospital Guild; and the White Salmon Methodist
Church.
