     JONES -- Mrs. Esther L., 77, Box 1, Carrolls, died Feb. 19 in a local hospital. Born March 29, 1892 in the Oklahoma Territory, she moved west to Oregon as a child and had resided in Carrolls the past 13 years. She was a member of the Kelso Nazarene Church.
     Surviving are one daughter, Mrs. Avis Love of Sitka, Alaska; one son, Robert Jones of Los Banos, Calif.; one sister, Mrs. R.G. Ray of Kelso; nine grandchildren and five great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband in January 1969.
     Funeral services were held Saturday at 10 a.m. in McVicker's Chapel on the Hill with the Rev. Fred Fowler officiating. Concluding services and interment will follow at 3 p.m. in the Trout Lake Cemetery, Trout Lake. McVicker's Chapel on the Hill is in charge of arrangements.

SERVICES FOR ESTHER JONES FEBRUARY 1ST

     Esther Bullard was born March 29, 1892 in Oklahoma Territory. The family moved to White Salmon, where Esther attended school, graduating from high school in 1912; she then taught school for several years.
     She was married to Thurman Jones in 1916, they lived in Trout Lake and White Salmon until 1927, when they moved to Merced, California, where Mr. Jones operated a dairy farm. In 1957 they moved back to Washington, and settled in Carrolls, near Kelso. Thurman passed away in January 1969; Esther has been a resident of The Manor Nursing home in Longview for about three years.
     Mrs. Jones passed away in St. Marks hospital in Longview, Washington, February 19, 1970. Services were held in Kelso, Washington, Saturday morning February 21, and grave side service was held at Trout Lake cemetery Saturday afternoon, where Rev. Keith Curry read the services.
     Survivors include one son, Robert, of Los Banos, California; one daughter, Mrs. Charles Love of Sitka, Alaska; nine grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. One sister, Mrs. Roy Ray of Kelso.
