SERVICES HELD FOR EARL TUBBS
Earl Leon Tubbs died Wednesday, January 25 in Skyline
Hospital at White Salmon. He is survived by his wife, Lillie, four brothers,
Elmer of Glenwood, Wash., Benjamin and William of Baker, Ore., and Albert
of Prescott, Ariz., and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Monday, January
30 at Gardner's Funeral Home. Rev. Homer Coulson and the White Salmon Masonic
Lodge had charge of the rites. Burial was in the White Salmon
Cemetery.
Casket bearers were Amos Larsen, Dan Hunsaker, Harold
Lewis, Jerry Bertschi, William Lauterbach and Palmer Wang.
Honorary bearers were Ross Skelton, Edgar (Tex) Porter
and Roy Grunsey.
Mr. Tubbs was born September 20, 1911 at Elgin, Ore.
He was married to Lillie Hood March 8, 1932 at Kelso, Wash.
He was the sixth son of Chas. H. and Della M. Tubbs and
spent his early childhood and school years at Cook., Wash. At the age of
11 he began to work in the timber business in the vicinity of Cook and Castle
Rock, Wash.
He has always considered the White Salmon Valley his
home. He has been in the logging and sawmill business for many years here.
He was also employed by Wyers Trading Company of White Salmon for a number
of years. During the last four years he has assisted his wife in carrying
the mail to Trout Lake.

Earl Leon Tubbs was born on September 20, 1911 at Elgin,
Oregon. He was the sixth son of Charles H. and Della M. Tubbs and spent his
early childhood and school years at Cook, Washington. At the age of 11 he
began to work in the timber business in the vicinity of Cook and Castle Rock,
Washington.
He has always considered the White Salmon Valley as home.
He has been in the logging and sawmill business for many years here. He was
also employed by Wyers Trading Company of White Salmon for a number of years.
During the last four years he has assisted his wife in carrying the mail
to Trout Lake, Washington.
He passed away on the 25th of January, 1967 after a brief
illness and heart complication at the age of 55 years. He is survived by
his wife, Lillie of Husum and his brothers: Elmer of Glenwood, Washington:
Benjamin of Baker, Oregon; Albert of Prescott, Arizona and William of Baker,
Oregon.
Services were held Monday afternoon, January 30, 1967
at Gardner's Chapel at 2 o'clock.
