WILKINSON
Mrs. Esther Lillian Cloud Wilkinson, 57, of Goldendale
died Monday, April 30, 1990, at her home. She was born January 27, 1933 at
Spearfish to George and Mary Cloud. She attended schools at Lyle, Chemawa
and Eastern Washington University.
Mrs. Cloud enjoyed bead work, traveling and Indian Pow
Wow's. She was a member of the Yakima Indian Nation and the American Legion
Auxiliary in Pendleton.
Survivors include her husband Maurice (Jimmy) of Goldendale;
four sons, Kenneth Wilkinson, Jonathan Sconowah and Wayne Tappo of Goldendale
and Matthew McConville of Wapato; two daughters, Bernadine Robertson of the
Dallesport and Vanessa Wilkinson of Warm Springs, Ore.; 14 grandchildren;
two brothers, Willard and Michael Cloud of Lyle and four sisters, Delores
Spino of Lyle;, Sylvia Martinez of Wapato, Sylola Leslie of Goldendale and
Sharon Cloud of The Dalles.
Dressing services were held Tuesday, May 1 in the Chapel
of Knosher-Erdman Funeral Home with Levi George officiating. Tribal services
were held at Rock Creek Longhouse with interment at sunrise Wednesday, May
2, in the Lyle Indian Cemetery.
Pallbearers included Mike George, Lewis George, Jacob
Frank, Ray Cloud, Les Heemesh and Eddie George. Honorary pallbearers included
Eva Looney, Delores Jim, Bernice Jim, Martina Gone, LuAnn George, Betsy Shaway,
Tessie Williams and Maggie Jim.
