ETHEL BOWLING
Ethel Mae Bowling, Lyle, died at her home on March 14,
2005, just two days shy of her 93rd birthday. She was born in Alhambra, Calif.
on March 16, 1912, to Maude (Roberts) and Ola McCartney.
In 1929, she married William Bowling in California. From
then on, the most important thing in her life was her family. Mrs. Bowling
took great pride in raising her children and was extremely close to her children
and grandchildren. She was an involved mother and grandmother. She also enjoyed
ceramics, cooking and she loved to sit back and read a good book.
Mrs. Bowling is survived by her son William Bowling,
Colville; daughter Carol Girl, Lyle; sister Lois Cook, Roseburg, Ore.; 15
grandchildren; 38 great-grandchildren and 18 great
great-grandchildren.
Preceding her in death are her husband, William, in 1972;
daughter Cordelia Hickman; son Frank Bowling; sisters Alma and Maybelle and
brothers Oscar, Jack, Ross, Frank and George.
A graveside service for Mrs. Bowling was held on her
birthday, March 16, 2005, at Lyle Balch Cemetery at 3:00 p.m.
Gardner Funeral Home handled arrangements.
