DEATH COMES TO MRS. LAUTERBACH ON JULY 31
Graveside funeral services were held Wednesday, August
6, at 11 a.m. at the White Salmon Cemetery, for Ethel Lauterbach, a long-time
resident of White Salmon, who died at Skyline Hospital on the July 31. The
Rev. Eugene Haynes officiated.
Her only living survivor is Beverly Smith; both her son,
Tom Bailey, and her daughter Jennie Robbins, having preceded her in death.
Mrs. Lauterbach was born October 18, 1882 in Pennsylvania.
She was a seamstress and managed Peck's Style Shop in White Salmon for a
number of years.
Mrs. Lauterbach was moved to Skyline's nursing wing in
January 1965. Until the past few weeks she was up and carefully dressed each
day, and she had volunteered to pick up and clear the trays from the patients
in the nursing wing each meal.
