EMMA SAXTON

     Emma Lusby Saxton (Mrs. George Saxton) was born in Marion county, Oregon Territory November 29, 1870 and passed away at a Seattle hospital November 17, 1952.
     She came to Goldendale with her parents when about three years old and lived here until moving to Seattle last year.
     She was married on December 5, 1889 and was the mother of two boys and six girls.
     Her survivors are her husband, George, of Seattle, age 88; four daughters, Mrs. Eater Devine of Portland; Mrs. Agnes Tyler of Beaverton, Oregon; Mrs. Eunice Cahill of Rice, Wash.; and Mrs. Ruth Henderson of Hunter, Wash.; two sons, John of Seattle and August of Hillsboro, Oregon.
     Two of her daughters are deceased.
     Mrs. Saxton was baptized many years ago in the Methodist church.
     Funeral services are set for 2 p.m. Friday at the Phillips Funeral Home with Rev. Earl Poindexter as minister. Burial will follow at the Pleasant Valley cemetery.
