ELIZABETH STEARNS
Elizabeth Margaret Stearns died at the Klickitat Valley
Hospital Saturday October 6 following a brief illness.
She was born Elizabeth Dornen, daughter of Joseph and
Catherine Dornen in Ontario, Canada July 25, 1874. On November 7, 1905 she
was united in marriage to Alvin E. Stearns and has made her home near Klickitat
for many years.
She is survived by her husband Alvin E. Stearns; two
sons, Lester J. Stearns, N. Bonneville; Charles G. Stearns, Vancouver; two
grandchildren Elizabeth Richardson, Goldendale; Wm. C. Stearns, Lyle; and
one sister, Mrs. Jennie Stearns, Portland.
The Rev. Mr. George officiated at funeral services Tuesday,
October 9 at Gardners. Burial was in the Odd Fellows cemetery, W.S.

Elizabeth Margaret (Dornan) Stearns, 82, Klickitat, died
at the Klickitat Valley Hospital October 8. She was born in Ontario, Canada,
July 25, 1874.
On November 7, 1905 in Goldendale she was married to
Alvin E. Stearns, who survives her. Other survivors include two sons, Lester
J. Stearns, North Bonneville, and Charles G. Stearns, Vancouver; two
grandchildren, Elizabeth Richardson, Goldendale, and William C. Stearns,
Lyle; and a sister, Mrs. Jennie Stearns, Portland.
Services were held Tuesday afternoon at Gardner's Funeral
Home in White Salmon, with Rev. George P. George officiating. Interment followed
in the White Salmon Odd Fellows Cemetery.
