SERVICES TODAY FOR MRS. WALKER

     Funeral services for Ethel May Walker, 69, resident of Goldendale since 1959, will be held today (Thursday) at 2 p.m. in the Knosher Funeral Home. She died at the home of her daughter in The Dalles.
     The Rev. M.B. Ketcham will officiate at the services and interment will be in the Spring Creek Cemetery.

     Ethel May Shippy was born in Union County, S.D. on November 3, 1896 and died at The Dalles, Ore. October 17, 1966 at the age of 69 years, 11 months and 14 days.
     She moved to the Northwest with her family about 1901 and to the Goldendale area about 1915. She was united in marriage to Henry Walker in September of 1920. To this union three children were born. The Walkers lived most of their lives in this area.
     Mrs. Walker was a member of the First Baptist Church for about 30 years and was a faithful member until her illness.
     She is survived by three children, Robert Walker of Eugene, Laine Walker of Snohomish Dorothy Eastman of The Dalles and one step-daughter, Eloise Rice of Fair Oaks, Calif. Also seven grandchildren; two great grandchildren; two sisters, Mefora Endrizi of Beaverton and Opal Dorman of Parma, Ida.; two brothers, Floyd Shippy of Stevenson and Carrol Shippy of Boise, Ida.; and many nieces and nephews.
     Funeral services were conducted October 20 at the Knosher Funeral Home with Rev. M.B. Ketcham officiating. Pallbearers were Emmett Williams, Loren Storkel, Leo Moore, Ray Hill, Harold Hill, and Erwin Hunter. Interment was in the Spring Creek Cemetery.
