DEATH SUMMONS EDNA THORNTON

     Funeral services for Mrs. Fred (Edna Pearl) Thornton, 40, White Salmon, were held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Feb.12 at Gardner's Chapel. The Rev. Homer Coulson officiated. Burial was in Chris Zada cemetery, Underwood.
     Bearers were Danny Frey, Charles Marlow, Lee Gribner, Jim Aplin, Larry Aplin and Woodrow Koch.
     Edna Pearl Brubaker was born May 27, 1923 at Bingen and was married to Fred Leroy Thornton on Dec. 11, 1939 at Underwood. She died Sunday, Feb. 9 at her home near the Northwestern Lake.
     She is survived by her widower Fred and five children: Fred Jr. and Cathy Ann, at home; and three married daughters, Mrs. Nada Marlow of Klickitat; Mrs. Linda Frey of Trout Lake and Mrs. Wanda Gribner, Glenwood.
     Also, her mother, Mrs. Caroline Brubaker, and sister Viola Heinzerling, both of Lewiston, Idaho; sister Violet Peters in Michigan; brother, James Brubaker of Lyle; and eight grand-children.

RITES READ FOR EDNA THORNTON

     Funeral services were held Wednesday in White Salmon for Mrs. Edna Pearl Thornton, for many years a resident of Underwood, who died Sunday at her home at Northwestern Lake.
     Mrs. Thornton was born May 27, 1923 in Bingen and was married December 11, 1939 at Underwood to Fred LeRoy Thornton, who survives her.
     Also surviving are a son, Fred LeRoy Thornton Jr.; daughters Cathy Ann Thornton, Mrs. Nada Marlow of Klickitat, Mrs. Linda Frey of Trout Lake and Mrs. Wanda Gribner of Glenwood; her mother, Mrs. Caroline Brubaker of Lewiston, Idaho; sisters Viola Heinzerling of Lewiston and Violet Peters of Michigan; and a brother, James Brubaker of Lyle.
     There are also eight grand-children.
     Services were held Wednesday, February 12 at Gardner's Chapel in White Salmon with the Rev. Homer Coulson officiating. Interment was in the family plot at Underwood.

SERVICES HELD WEDNESDAY FOR EDNA THORNTON

     Edna Pearl Thornton was born May 27th, 1923 in Bingen, Washington, the daughter of Caroline and James Brubaker.
She passed away Sunday morning at her home at Northwestern Lake. She is survived by her devoted husband, Fred LeRoy Thornton, son Fred LeRoy Thornton Jr., daughter Cathy Ann Thornton; her married daughters, Mrs. Nada Marlow of Klickitat; Mrs. Linda Frey of Trout Lake, Washington and Mrs. Wanda Gribner, Glenwood, Washington. Her mother, Mrs. Caroline Brubaker of Lewiston, Idaho. Sisters, Viola Heinzerling of Lewiston, Idaho and Violet Peters in Michigan. One brother, James Brubaker of Lyle, Washington. There are eight grandchildren.     
     Mr. and Mrs. Thornton were married at Underwood, Washington on December 11, 1939.
     Funeral services were held Wednesday, February12th, 2 p.m. at Gardner's Chapel in White Salmon with the Rev. Homer Coulson officiating. Interment was in the family plot at Underwood, Washington.
