ETTA CONKLIN

     Etta R. Conklin, a 60-year Lyle resident, died Oct. 2 in The Dalles at the age of 87.
     Mrs. Conklin was born Feb. 7, 1891 in Dade County, Missouri to Mr. and Mrs. Michael Zimmerman. She was a member of the Methodist Church.
     She was preceded in death by her husband, Clinton Conklin in 1972; and by a son, Clarence, in 1936.
     Survivors include three children, Pricilla Box, Lyle, Lawrence Conklin, Prineville, Ore., and Gladys Brubaker, Lyle; a step-daughter, Viola Embree, Northport; seven grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and four great great grandchildren.        Rev. Floyd Green conducted the funeral services for Mrs. Conklin Thursday afternoon at Gardner Funeral Home in White Salmon. Interment was at Balch Cemetery in Lyle.
