ELLA C. SHEBLEY
Ella C. Shebley of Lyle died Friday, Dec. 10, at the
Mid-Columbia Medical Center in The Dalles; she was 70.
Mrs. Shebley was born Sept. 14, 1923, on Prince Edward
Island, Canada, to Charlotte A. (Burgess) and George H. McLeod.
She moved to Lyle at the age of three and grew up there.
She lived in Lyle most of her life. She loved gardening and doing crafts.
She was an active member of the Gleaners organization.
She is survived by her sons Mark Shebley of Bakersfield,
Calif., Ernest Webster of Appleton, and Jerry Shebley of Spokane; her daughters
Sandra Johnson of Orchards and Ruby Arguello of Murdock, her sister, Etta
Osina of Portland, and her brothers William McLeod of Carson and Gordon McLeod
of Trout Lake. She had 12 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.
A graveside funeral service was held Dec. 15, at 11 a.m.
at the Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Appleton. The family suggests that all
contributions be given to the American Cancer Society of Heart Association.
The Gardner Funeral Home in White Salmon was in charge
of all the funeral arrangements.
