ELLA T. BIRD
Elba T. Bird, a resident of Bingen, Wash., since 1947
passed away at Good Samaritan Hospital in Portland, Ore. on May 6th, 1970.
Elba T. Bird was born December 14, 1905 in Missouri. She was united in marriage
to Jessie T. Bird in Harrisonville, Missouri, on July 28, 1920.
Surviving besides her husband of Bingen are two sons:
Marvin T. Bird of Hawaii, Jessie L. Bird of Natches, Wash.; three daughters:
Ruth B. Hayes of Eugene, Ore., Lily M. Hearn of White Salmon, and Fern Palmer
of Malta Bend, Missouri.
Also, six sisters and two brothers, Gib Hammond of Missouri
and Woodrow Hammond of California; 17 grandchildren, and ten great
grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Monday, May 11 at Gardners
Funderal Home at 2:00 p.m. Clergyman was Rev. Claire B. Brown of Lyle, Wash.
Singer was Thomas Elefritz. Interment was in White Salmon.
Casket bearers were Stanley Bird, Danny Bird, Melvin
Bird, LeRoy Bird, Arland L. Hearn, Benny Wade, and Johnny Culp.
