EMMA CLANTON

     The ashes of Emma Clanton were placed in the grave at Centerville Monday afternoon beside her mother in the family plot.
     She died August 13 at South Gate, California. Services were held at the Biby and Belyea Chapel of South Gate, August 16 with Rev. Keith McPherson as officiating minister. She was cremated and the urn was shipped here for burial.
     At one time the deceased was Superintendent of school of Klickitat county.
     She was born at Centerville on November 2, 1867. She is survived by a number of nieces and nephews, but no immediate relatives.
     Burial rites here were arranged by a niece of the deceased, Mrs. G.W. Klaus and her husband, former residents of Centerville.
