MRS. PATRICK RYAN
Mrs. Patrick Ryan passed away at her home in Portland
on Sunday, March 17th, 1918. Her husband, the later Patrick Ryan, died on
the 28th day of December, 1903. The children surviving are Joe Ryan, Ella
Ryan and Mrs. J. Orchard, the girls living in Portland, and Joe in
Seattle.
The Ryans came to Klickitat county in 1863, taking up
a home out on Spring Creek. Mr. Ryan was well-versed in the history of Klickitat,
and his reminiscences were highly interesting. In later years, they
resided in this city, Mrs. Ryan conducting a restaurant for a number of
years.
Some time after the death of Mr. Ryan, she moved to Portland,
where she has since resided.
The funeral services were held at the Goldendale Catholic
church on Wednesday, March 20th, the interment being at the Catholic cemetery,
near this city.
The children desire to express their sincere thanks to
the many friends for their kindness, sympathy, and the beautiful floral
offerings.
