BUTTS

Wilbur E. Butts, 74, died July 7 in Goldendale.
He was born April 28, 1914 in Fort Collins, Colo., to Emmitt and Fern Butts. The family later moved to California, where Wilbur graduated from Pasadena High School.
He and Juanita Whelchel were united in marriage May 18, 1958 in Las Vegas, Nev.
Mr. Butts was a self-employed road construction contractor near Pomona, until retiring in 1978. The couple moved to Goldendale in 1979.
He enjoyed mechanics, carpentry and his work.
Survivors include his wife, Juanita, and a son, Robert Butts, both of Goldendale. Three grand-children and three great grandchildren also survive.
Funeral services were held July 11, in the chapel of Knosher-Erdman Funeral Home. Pastor Dennis Huenefeld of the New Life Assembly of God Church officiated. Inurment will be at Hilltop Cemetery at Wahkiacus at a later date.
