FLORENCE BROWN

     Florence Anna Brown, died March 19 in Hood River at the age of 89.
     She was born Sept. 20, 1889, in Clarksburg, W.V., to Mr.and Mrs. John Brockleman. She had been a resident of the Hood River Care Center since August and before that lived for two years in The Dalles.
     Survivors include three daughters, Carolyn Taylor, Sweet Home, Ore.; Mary Ryan, Bay City, Ore.; and Emma Smith, Sweet Home; one son, Henry Leis, Lyle; one brother, Will Brockleman, Emporia, Kan.; 12 grandchildren, 42 great-grandchildren; 14 great-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
     Rev. Floyd Green conducted funeral services for Mrs. Brown March 22. Burial was in Balch Cemetery at Lyle.
